According to Ukrinform, he announced this on Facebook.

The head of the Ministry of Defense met with commanders and soldiers of the National Guard units: the 2nd Corps, the 3rd Brigade, the 13th Brigade “Charter,” the 17th Poltava Brigade, and the 18th Sloviansk Brigade.

He also met with servicemen from the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Cossacks, the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Cossack Ataman Ivan Sirko, and the 127th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Shmyhal thanked the defenders for their courage and resilience, for holding back the Russian invaders and protecting civilians. The minister awarded the military with departmental decorations.

He listened to the latest information on the situation at the front, the losses inflicted on the enemy, and the urgent needs of the brigades. In addition, he familiarized himself with innovative approaches to planning and conducting combat operations, as well as with the technological capabilities of the units.

The head of the Ministry of Defense was presented with the key areas of development for the brigades: improving the management system, training personnel, and increasing the effectiveness of interaction between units.

“We are working on further digitization of the army, implementing modern solutions and game changers that will give us an advantage over the enemy on the battlefield. We thank every soldier who stands in defense of the Motherland,” Shmyhal said.

Later, he also reported on his visit to the Kharkiv Air Defense Center, where he heard reports on the situation in this area.
