
Near the village of Petrivka in the Zolochiv territorial community, Russian troops struck a civilian car with a drone, killing a man and a woman.
This was reported by the Kharkiv region police on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“On August 20, at 08:30, Russian troops struck a civilian ZAZ-1103 Slavuta car with a strike drone. The incident occurred on a highway near the village of Petrivka in the Zolochiv territorial community. As a result of the attack, a 70-year-old driver and his 71-year-old partner were killed,” the report said.
An investigative team, experts, and police bomb disposal experts were dispatched to the scene to document the consequences of the war crime.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, on August 19, six settlements in the Kharkiv region were under Russian attack, and two men were injured.
