Despite the enemy’s numerical superiority on the Pokrovsk front, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have cleared six settlements of Russian forces, destroying hundreds of Russian occupiers, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

He reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“My particular attention is on the hardest sections of the front. I conducted an on-site visit to the Pokrovsk sector, specifically to the military command units, corps, and brigades conducting stabilization operations on the Dobropillia salient. Despite the enemy’s numerical advantage, units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine are honorably fulfilling their assigned tasks. As a result of successful strike-and-search operations, six settlements have been cleared, and hundreds of Russian occupiers destroyed,” Syrskyi said.

He reviewed reports from commanders regarding operational conditions, challenges, and the needs of the units.

“I gave appropriate orders to strengthen defensive resilience. The key task is to respond effectively to changes in enemy tactics while preserving the lives of Ukraine’s defenders as much as possible,” he added.

Syrskyi also highlighted the effective work of newly formed corps in the operational area of the Donetsk Operational and Tactical Group, which have taken responsibility for their sectors and are operating with assigned troops. He thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their courage and dedication in defending the Donetsk region.
