
In the Shostka district of the Sumy region, Russian strikes caused a fire in a residential area and damaged a fire and rescue station.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“On August 22, the enemy struck the Znob-Novgorod community. A large-scale fire broke out in the residential sector. The blast wave damaged the fire and rescue station,” the report said.
According to law enforcement officials, there were no casualties among local residents and rescuers.
The elimination of the sources of combustion is ongoing.
At the same time, emergency restoration work has begun in people’s homes.
According to reports, from the morning of August 21 to the morning of August 22, Russian troops carried out nearly 80 shelling attacks on 33 settlements in 15 territorial communities of Sumy region.
