Russian bombs and drones hit Sumy region, civilian wounded

Early on Saturday, August 23, Russian forces dropped two guided aerial bombs on the village of Buniachyne in Novoslobidska community of Sumy region, injuring a civilian.

Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Strikes hit the village of Buniachyne in Novoslobidska community in the morning. The enemy dropped two guided aerial bombs. Two houses, a church, and the administrative building of the local council were damaged. A 44-year-old resident was injured and hospitalized. Doctors are providing assistance,” Hryhorov wrote.

According to him, about 90% of Buniachyne’s residents have already been evacuated due to constant shelling.

In addition, the regional head reported that overnight, Russian forces attacked Vorozhba community with two strike drones. Two two-story apartment buildings, four private houses, outbuildings, and gas and power networks were damaged.

As reported, a man was wounded in Sumy region’s Znob-Novhorodska community the previous day as a result of a Russian airstrike with a guided bomb.
