In Donetsk region, units of the Russian Volunteer Corps, together with Ukrainian forces, successfully stopped an attempted breakthrough by Russian troops and captured 16 soldiers.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) reported this on Facebook, cited by Ukrinform.

“In a joint operation, units of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the DIU’s Brotherhood from the Timur Special Unit, together with soldiers of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, successfully stopped an enemy breakthrough in Donetsk region and prevented Russian forces from advancing toward Dnipropetrovsk region borders,” the statement reads.

During the assaults and clearance operations, the Russian Volunteer Corps captured 16 Russian servicemen.

“Among them were ‘flag-bearers’ tasked with filming fake news about the ‘capture’ of Ukrainian settlements, including the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove. Rapid infantry assaults, tank crew operations, precise drone strikes, and footage of the captured Russian soldiers are shown in the video,” DIU noted.

Intelligence officers emphasized: anyone appearing on Ukrainian territory with weapons and “tricolors” ends the same way — destroyed.
