Defense Forces neutralize 48 of 72 Russian drones at night

On the night of August 24, the Defense Forces neutralized 48 Russian drones in the Ukrainian sky; enemy UAVs and ballistic missiles were hit at ten locations.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the news on Telegram.

According to military data, since 10:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, the Russians have launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 72 drones across Ukraine, including Shahed-type strike missiles and UAV simulators of various types.

The missile was launched from the area of the Russian city of Tagangorog, and the drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The enemy attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, units of electronic warfare and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

It was reported that as of 08:30 Sunday, August 24, Air Defense shot down/neutralized 48 Russian Shahed drones and simulator drones of various types in the north, east, and south of the country.

Missile hits and 24 enemy drones were recorded at ten locations.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of August 24, during an attack by Russian drones, explosions were heard in Sumy, and hits occurred.
