
Russian forces shelled the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, killing an 82-year-old woman and injuring two others.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Kupiansk. As a result of the enemy attack, one person was killed and two others were injured,” the statement reads.
According to investigators, the strike occurred on August 24 at around 16:00. A 35-year-old woman sustained blast injuries, while an 83-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.
Law enforcement authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into a war crime resulting in civilian death under Part 2, Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
