During the Defense Cooperation Forum: Future Warfare, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal spoke about how digitalization, innovations, and artificial intelligence are helping Ukrainian forces.

He shared the remarks on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“The Defense Cooperation Forum: Future Warfare took place in Kyiv under the chairmanship of President Volodymyr Zelensky, with participation from international partners. We thank the defense ministers of Denmark, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Sweden, representatives from the UK, Estonia, the Czech Republic, the EU, and NATO for responding to our invitation and being here today in Ukraine on this important national holiday — the 34th Independence Day,” Shmyhal said.

According to the minister, digitalization, innovation, and AI are all assisting Ukrainian defenders in the war, and he discussed these developments with partners during the forum.

“Ukraine is already integrating into the European defense industry. We will be part of the European Union and an integral part of joint security strategies. It is now important to closely align our defense industries to address shared challenges,” he said.

Shmyhal invited partners to join the Build in Ukraine program, deploying factories, service centers, and production lines in Ukraine, as well as creating joint programs with Ukrainian manufacturers – from co-design to licensed production.

“We are united, and that is why we are strong. We are connected by common goals and values. We will surely win, defend Ukraine, and protect a free world,” he said.
