Umerov, Yermak discuss security guarantees for Ukraine with Kellogg

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met in Kyiv with Keith Kellogg, the U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine, to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.

Umerov shared details of the meeting on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The meeting was also attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Andrii Hnatov and First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya.

According to Umerov, the discussions focused on security guarantees for Ukraine and steps to increase international pressure on Russia in order to achieve a just and lasting peace.

“It is extremely important that we maintain a systematic and substantive dialogue with the United States. This is the key to sustained support and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities,” Umerov said.

He also congratulated Kellogg on receiving the First Class Order of Merit awarded to him by President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier today.

“This award symbolizes our gratitude for his support and contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s security,” Umerov said.
