On August 25, the Armed Forces of Ukraine engaged in 136 combat clashes with Russian forces, with the Pokrovsk sector remaining the hottest spot, where the enemy attempted attacks 43 times.
This was reported by the AFU General Staff on Facebook, providing the operational update as of 22:00 on Monday, August 25, according to Ukrinform.
“A total of 136 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. The invaders carried out 43 airstrikes, dropping 57 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians used 1,459 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,799 shellings of the Ukrainian positions and settlements,” the report reads.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy assaults. The Russians carried out six airstrikes using 11 guided bombs and 179 shellings, including five with multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian positions ten times near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Ambarne, and toward Kutkivka and Kolodiazne, with four clashes ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian units launched six assaults on the Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Holubivka, Kolisnykivka, and Zahryzove; two attacks are still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian positions 17 times near Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, Zelena Dolyna, and toward Yampil and Serebrianka. The Ukrainian defenders are currently repelling nine of these attacks.
In the Siversk sector, the enemy attempted one breakthrough near Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 13 clashes were recorded, with enemy units trying to advance near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and toward Stupochky and Predtechyne; fighting is ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces attacked six times, focusing on Dyliivka, Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, and Oleksandro-Kalynove.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian units attempted 43 attacks near Nikanorivka, Mayak, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Hrodivka, Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, Chunishyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, and Dachne. Fighting continues in some areas. The Ukrainian defenders repelled the attacks, inflicting heavy losses — 142 invaders were neutralized, 86 of them irrevocably. Ukrainian forces destroyed 18 vehicles, seven drones, two UAV control posts, three enemy shelters, and significantly damaged artillery and electronic warfare systems.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled eight attacks near Yalta, Zelenyi Hai, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, and Komyshuvakha; four clashes are underway.
In the Huliaipole sector, one battle is ongoing near Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted two advances near Plavni and toward Pavlivka.
In the Prydniprovske sector, three unsuccessful attacks were repelled; the enemy suffered losses and retreated.
“Today, special recognition goes to the warriors of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy, who effectively counter the enemy,” the General Staff concluded.
