Russians attack in 12 sectors; Pokrovsk and Lyman sectors most intense

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 71 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian troops. Fighting continues in six front areas, with the enemy showing the greatest activity in the Pokrovsk and Lyman sectors.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a war update on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

Russian troops launched artillery strikes on the Ukrainian border from their territory. Novovasylivka and Stara Huta in the Sumy region were among the areas affected by enemy fire.

The invaders also launched air strikes on Stara Huta.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sector, the Defense Forces have repelled four enemy attacks since the beginning of the day, with one battle still ongoing. The Russians have already carried out three air strikes in these areas of the front, dropping five guided bombs and firing 115 rounds, one of which was from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and toward Doroshivka four times. Two battles are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks by Russian forces toward Kupiansk and Nova Kruhliakivka. One attack is still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked 17 times near Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, and Kolodiazi, toward Shandryholove, Stavky, Dronivka, and Serebrianka. Defense Forces successfully stopped ten enemy attempts to advance, and fighting continues.

In the Siversk sector, the invaders attempted four times to break through in the area of Hryhorivka, toward Serebrianka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka, but were defeated.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops twice unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions, trying to advance toward Stupochky.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the invaders have made 24 attempts to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Nykanorivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novoukrainka, toward Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka. The defenders are holding back the enemy’s advance: 23 attacks have already been repelled. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russians attacked nine times near Shevchenko, in the direction of Filiia, Iskra, and Oleksandrohrad. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, enemy aircraft struck Bilohiria.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invaders launched an air strike on Preobrazhenka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the Russian army unsuccessfully attacked the positions of the Defense Forces once.

The situation in other front areas remained largely unchanged.

As reported by Ukrinform, sappers from the assault regiment of the Liut Assault Brigade of the Special Police Force destroyed a strategically important facility in Toretsk that could have served as a shelter for Russian invaders.
