Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has reported positive developments on the frontline, particularly in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi posted this on Facebook following a meeting with the President of Ukraine.
“I took part in a meeting convened by the President of Ukraine. Strengthening the resilience of our defense is our shared top priority. The discussion focused on the battlefield situation and along the borders with Russia and Belarus, the formation of reserves, and cooperation with partners on security guarantees for our country,” the Commander-in-Chief stated.
Syrskyi briefed the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the implementation of decisions made by the Staff regarding the creation of combat-ready reserves for the Defense Forces.
“The Russian aggressor has not abandoned its occupation plans. Standing in its way is the Ukrainian army, backed by the entire Ukrainian people and bolstered by their support. Our primary focus is currently on the Pokrovsk, Dobropillia, Novopavlivka, Kupiansk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. During the meeting, we discussed the need for additional supplies for units operating in these and other critical sectors of the front,” he emphasized.
According to Syrskyi, “We are seeing positive trends in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions—driven by the active operations of the 225th Assault Regiment, the 71st Jaeger Brigade, and Special Operations Forces units. Their combat performance is a testament to courage and professionalism.”
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian Defense Forces halted the advance of Russian invaders at the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions and continue to hold the village of Zaporizke, despite persistent enemy efforts to seize the settlement.
