At the border of the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Ukrainian Defense Forces have halted the advance of Russian invaders and continue to retain the control of the village of Zaporizke, despite persistent enemy attempts to seize the settlement.
This was reported by the Dnipro operational and strategic group of forces on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
Active combat operations also continue near the village of Novoheorhiivka, where Ukrainian troops are inflicting significant losses on the enemy, reportedly eliminating dozens of invaders daily.
“The claims about Russian occupation of either settlement are false,” the military emphasized.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, there have been 71 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders since the beginning of the day. Fighting is still ongoing along six fronts, with the highest enemy activity observed in the Pokrovsk and Lyman sectors.
