Air Defense Forces destroy 74 of 95 Russian drones

Air Defense Forces destroyed 74 of the 95 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine since the evening of August 26.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

Starting at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, the Russians attacked with 95 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of dummy drones from the areas of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, Air Defense Forces shot down/neutralized 74 Shahed-type UAVs and various types of drone simulators in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

Twenty-one UAVs were recorded hitting nine locations.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of August 27, as a result of a massive attack by Russian drones in the Sumy community, the infrastructure was damaged.

In the morning, part of Sumy remains without electricity.
