Russian shelling kills two farm workers in Kherson region

In Kherson region, Russian forces shelled a farm in the village of Novovorontsovka, killing two people.

As reported by Ukrinform, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration (RMA) Oleksandr Prokudin announced this on Telegram.

“Around 09:00, Russian terrorists shelled a farm in Novovorontsovka with artillery. As a result of the enemy attack, two workers were fatally wounded: a 45-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman,” the statement reads.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the war crime that resulted in civilian deaths.

According to the investigation, on August 27, 2025, at around 09:00, the Russian army shelled an agricultural enterprise in Novovorontsovka, killing two farm workers.

The RMA also reported that another civilian in Kherson region was killed by a Russian drone strike.

According to Prokudin, on August 23, Russian forces attacked a 78-year-old man with a UAV on the outskirts of Beryslav. He suffered fatal injuries.

Prokudin expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.

As reported earlier by Ukrinform, early on August 27, Russian forces carried out an artillery strike on Kherson, resulting in one person killed and another injured.
