On August 26, Ukrainian forces engaged in 173 combat clashes with Russian troops, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In a situation update on Facebook, the General Staff said Russian forces carried out two missile strikes and 64 airstrikes, launching two missiles and dropping 109 guided aerial bombs.
Additionally, the enemy conducted 4,625 shelling attacks, including 21 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and deployed 3,891 kamikaze drones.
Russian airstrikes targeted several areas, including Stara Huta in the Sumy region, Bilohiria and Preobrazhenka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Antonivka in the Kherson region.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian aircraft, missile units, and artillery struck six areas of Russian troop and equipment concentrations, three artillery systems, and one high-value target.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 attacks. Russia launched three airstrikes (dropping five guided bombs) and conducted 201 shelling attacks, including one from MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and towards Doroshivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, eight clashes were recorded. Ukrainian defenders halted Russian assaults near Kupiansk and Nova Kruhlakivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russia launched 34 attacks, attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses near Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Myrne, Torske, and towards Olhivka, Shandryholove, Stavky, Dronivka, and Serebrianka.
In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled nine assaults near Hryhorivka and towards Serebrianka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, six clashes were reported. Russian troops tried to advance towards Stupochky but failed.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces carried out eight attacks near Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and towards Berestky, Stepanivka, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 Russian assaults near Nykanorivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and towards Volodymyrivka, Rubizhne, Bilytske, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Filiia.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian troops launched 23 attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Shevchenko, Voskresenka, Komyshuvakha, Novoheorhiivka, and towards Filiia, Iskra, and Oleksandrohrad.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, no Russian offensive actions were reported.
In the Dnipro River sector, Russian troops made three unsuccessful attempts to advance.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive formations were observed.
