In Donetsk region, Russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka again using a Smerch multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), an FAB-250 aerial bomb, and FPV drones, resulting in civilian injuries.
This was reported on Facebook by Head of the Kostiantynivka Town Military Administration Serhii Horbunov, according to Ukrinform.
“Two more enemy strikes were recorded in Kostiantynivka. The first shelling was carried out by a Smerch MLRS rocket… The second strike was launched by an FAB-250 aerial bomb, which hit an apartment building directly. One civilian sustained minor injuries. There is also information about the possible presence of another person under the rubble,” Horbunov wrote.
He noted that the MLRS attack caused no casualties but damaged the facades of two private houses, three garages, and two outbuildings.
Following the aerial bomb strike, two apartment building facades and four private houses were damaged.
In a subsequent Facebook post, Horbunov added: “Information has come in that two more civilians were injured in their homes as a result of enemy FPV drone strikes on Kostiantynivka.”
It was previously reported that on August 27, Russian attacks killed two and injured five residents of Donetsk region.
