As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on August 28, 25 people were killed, including four children. Dozens more were injured.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with President of the European Council António Costa, according to Ukrinform, citing the President’s Telegram channel.

“As of now, 25 fatalities have been confirmed, including four children, and dozens of people have been injured,” he said.

Zelensky stressed that the strike was a cowardly act by Russia, which reflects the true intentions of its leader, Vladimir Putin—to continue killing rather than take steps toward peace.

He also thanked Costa for his sincere condolences to the Ukrainian people and to the families who lost loved ones in the previous day’s Russian shelling of Kyiv.
