Invaders carry out 136 strikes on Sumy region, casualties reported

Russian forces over the course of a day, from the morning of August 28 to the morning of August 29, carried out 136 strikes on 39 settlements in Sumy region, damaging civilian infrastructure and injuring two women.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram.

In the Bilopillia community, a woman born in 1956 was injured as a result of an enemy UAV strike. In the Sumy community, another woman, born in 1967, was also injured by a drone attack.

The majority of shelling was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.

Russian forces launched over 30 strikes with guided aerial bombs (KAB) and more than 10 drone strikes. The enemy also carried out missile attacks, FPV drone strikes, and dropped VOG munitions from UAVs.

In the Bilopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility and a car were damaged by Russian strikes; in the Hlukhiv community, civilian infrastructure facilities and non-residential premises were damaged; in the Sumy community, a car and a private house were damaged; in the Vorozhba community, non-residential premises were damaged; in the Novoslobidske community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

During the day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and NGOs from border communities, evacuated two people.

Over the past day, the air raid alert in the region lasted for 17 hours and 9 minutes.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the Bilopillia community of Sumy region, a 69-year-old local woman was injured as a result of a Russian drone strike.
