Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Ukrainian Joint Forces, and Lieutenant General Tomasz Piotrowski, Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, have discussed the security situation in Ukraine’s northern regions and agreed on the further exchange of information.
Naiev said this in a post on his Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.
According to Naiev, in a phone call, he “informed his Polish colleague about the implementation and strengthening of measures aimed at ensuring the defense capability of the border areas and immediate response to likely hostile actions, and also thanked the leadership of the Polish Armed Forces for consistent cooperation and permanent partnership.”
Piotrowski, in turn, said that Poland would continue to provide support and assistance to Ukraine in countering Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Both parties also agreed to continue the dialogue and actively interact, Naiev added.
