Scholz, Macron, Duda to discuss further support for Ukraine on Monday

French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Polish President Andrzej Duda will discuss Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and further support for the Ukrainian people at a meeting in the format of the Weimar Triangle in Paris on June 12.

According to Ukrinform, the planned meeting has been announced on the website of the German government.

“Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz will leave for Paris on June 12, 2023, where he will meet with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, in the format of the Weimar Triangle,” the report reads.

It adds that “the joint dinner will be devoted to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, further support for Ukraine and preparations for the NATO summit in Vilnius in July.”

On May 21, during the summit in Hiroshima, the leaders of the Group of Seven nations reiterated a clear message to Russia regarding the need to withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
