On July 8, 2023, Russian troops launched 11 attacks on the Sumy region’s border areas. A total of 54 explosions were recorded.
The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The following communities came under enemy fire: Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Putyvl, Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda and Esman.
In particular, the enemy struck the Bilopillia community with artillery and mortars (11 explosions each).
Russians fired unguided air-launched missiles from helicopters at the Nova Sloboda community (six explosions).
The invaders also launched mortar strikes on the Putyvl community (two explosions).
In the Krasnopillia community, Russian troops opened fire with mortars and artillery (five and six explosions accordingly).
The Seredyna-Buda community was affected by Russian artillery strikes (five explosions).
Additionally, the enemy dropped three explosives with unmanned aerial vehicles on the Esman community, having hit a detached house.
