The White House officially announced U.S. President Joe Biden’s visit to Germany, noting that the issue of continued support for Ukraine and response to Russian aggression will be an important part of the discussions during the meetings in Berlin.
This was stated by White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, who spoke at a press conference in Washington on Wednesday, Ukrinform’s own correspondent reports.
“A big part of the travel he’s doing is going to be continuing support for Ukraine,” the White House spokesperson said.
She emphasized that the United States will continue to provide support to Ukraine. Jean-Pierre noted that Germany also plays a significant role in the process.
“We have worked together closely to strengthen our economies both for both our people and to provide critical support for Ukraine Ukraine as it continues to defend itself against Russian aggression,” Jean-Pierre said.
She also noted that Germany remains the second largest provider of aid to Ukraine after the United States.
At the same time, besides meeting with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Joe Biden will also hold meetings in Berlin with other leaders.
