Zelensky awards 320 Ukrainian servicemen, 122 posthumously

President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded state honors to 320 servicemen of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, with 122 of them receiving awards posthumously.

The corresponding decree No. 704/2024 was published on the President’s website, as reported by Ukrinform.

The document states that the awards were given for personal bravery displayed in defending Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for selfless service to the Ukrainian people.

The defenders received the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Danylo Halytsky, and For Courage, as well as medals For Military Service to Ukraine, For Irreproachable Service, Defender of the Motherland, and For Saving Life.

As reported by Ukrinform, on October 7, Zelensky visited the main command post of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and presented state awards to the servicemen.
