Reservation of conscripts: Ministry of Economy updates status of critical enterprises

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has updated the critical enterprise status for the first seven companies under new criteria.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has made this announcement.

“The first seven companies, including those in glassware production, furniture, textiles, ceramic tiles, and other sectors, have successfully completed the procedure to update their criticality under the new criteria. These companies are now eligible to reserve employees for up to 12 months,” first Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko said.

According to her, within the first two days of renewing the reservation system through the Diia platform, businesses submitted 3,500 applications to reserve 26,700 employees.

It is noted that enterprises that currently hold critical status but have not yet updated it can reserve employees until February 28, 2025. Once they update their status, reservations can be extended for up to 12 months.

To qualify as critical enterprise, private companies must meet two mandatory criteria:

  • a minimum average salary of 20,000 UAH;
  • no debts owed to government budgets.

Additionally, companies must fulfill at least one of the following criteria:

  • paid over EUR 1.5 million in taxes;
  • earned more than EUR 32 million in foreign currency revenue;
  • designated as a strategic enterprise;
  • registered as a Diia City resident;
  • provided telecommunications services with significant revenue or demonstrated significant importance to the economy or community needs.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on November 29, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved changes to Resolutions No. 76 and No. 1332, refining the procedure for reserving conscripts in critical enterprises.
