In the Donetsk region, one civilian was killed and two more were injured as a result of Russia’s shelling on Sunday, January 19.
Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, wrote this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
One civilian was killed in Pokrovsk and two more were injured in Pokrovsk and Mykolaivka, he specified.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, at least 2,931 people have been killed and 6,594 others wounded in the Donetsk region. These figures do not include casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
As reported by Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Defense Forces are making every effort to prevent the capture of Pokrovsk by Russian troops.
