The number of casualties from a Russian drone strike on an apartment building in Sumy has increased to seven, with 13 people injured.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in the Sumy region reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“The death toll from the Russian strike on the apartment building in Sumy has risen to seven. Rescuers have recovered the body of another victim. As of 17:00, 13 people have been injured, including a child,” the statement reads.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing.
As reported earlier by Ukrinform, a Russian Shahed drone struck a multi-story residential building in Sumy overnight. Initial reports confirmed six fatalities — including three married couples — and ten injured.
