Zelensky awards state honors to Ukrainian warriors

On January 31, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the Crosses of Military Merit and the Orders of the Golden Star to Ukrainian warriors and presented the orders to the families of those who received this title posthumously.

The President announced this in a Telegram post, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Today, I awarded state honors – the Crosses of Military Merit and the Orders of the Golden Star – to our warriors and presented the orders to the families of those who received this title posthumously. We are grateful to everyone who is fighting for the Ukrainian people. Thank you to all who raise such sons and daughters for Ukraine. To those who train and pass on their experience to our warriors. To everyone waiting at home for the Ukrainian heroes. And to all who remember and honor our fallen men and women without fail,” said Zelensky.

The President emphasized: “This is what makes us a nation – a great Ukrainian nation made up of many individuals like you.”

“I am proud of you. I am grateful to you,” the head of state added.

As reported by Ukrinform, on January 30, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded state honors to 321 Ukrainian defenders, 173 of whom were honored posthumously.
