Missile strike on Poltava: Injury toll rises to 17, seven dead

The number of people injured in a Russian missile strike on a residential building in Poltava early on February 1 has risen to 17, including four children.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“The number of injured has increased to 17, including four children aged three months, two, eight, and 12 years. Seven people have died. Twenty-two have been rescued,” the statement reads.

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police have provided assistance to 152 people, including four children.

Emergency rescue operations are ongoing.
