The Pokrovsk direction remains one of the hottest, with the Defense Forces neutralizing more than 15,000 Russian invaders in January alone.
According to Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi posted this on Facebook and released a video of the Ukrainian military’s combat work.
Syrskyi noted that a defense operation is underway, aimed, in particular, at destroying enemy forces and reserves.
“Ukrainian defenders are continuously inflicting losses on the occupiers. Pokrovsk direction remains one of the hottest. In January this year alone, our soldiers neutralized more than 15,000 invaders here, about 7,000 of them irrevocably,” he emphasized.
The Commander-in-Chief also thanked the Ukrainian soldiers for their resilience, efficiency and heroism.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the pace of the Russian invaders’ offensive is slowing down as they are bogged down in urban battles for Chasiv Yar and Toretsk, as well as in an attempt to surround Pokrovsk.
