The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as part of the Device Coalition, has donated 600 laptops to educators in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions to support online teaching in schools and vocational education institutions.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced this on Telegram.

In particular, 361 laptops were allocated to teachers in the Donetsk region, while 239 were provided to educators in the Luhansk region.

The devices were distributed to teachers working in Ukraine-controlled territories, ensuring that students continue to receive education and access online learning despite ongoing challenges.

Although the donated laptops are used, they are in good technical condition and ready for integration into the educational process.

Earlier reports said that the Device Coalition had facilitated the acquisition of over 100,000 gadgets for Ukrainian students and teachers over the past year.

In January 2024, the Olena Zelenska Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation launched the Device Coalition. This initiative brings together international organizations, governments, and philanthropists to equip Ukrainian students and teachers with the necessary technology for quality online education.
