War update: 97 combat clashes at front in past day, 39 enemy attacks repelled in Pokrovsk sector

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using three missiles, as well as 63 airstrikes, including 112 drones. In addition, it carried out more than 5,800 attacks, including 62 MLRS attacks and used 2,725 kamikaze drones to attack,” the report says.

Thus, Russian troops carried out air strikes in the areas of Oleksandrivka, Sumy region; Hremiachka, Chernihiv region; Novopil, Donetsk region; Shcherbaky, Zaporizhzhia region; and Kherson, Kherson region.

In the Kharkiv sector, two enemy attacks occurred in the vicinity of Hatyshche yesterday.

In the Kupiansk sector, 18 enemy attacks were recorded over the past day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault in the areas of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked eight times. They attempted to advance near Novoyehorivka, Novoliubivka, Makiivka, Yampolivka and in the direction of Serebrianka.

In the Siversk sector, the Russian troops made two attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Bilohorivka and Ivan-Daryivka by assault. These efforts were unsuccessful.

In the Kramatorsk sector, two assaults took place in the vicinity of Predtechyne and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Krymske.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders thwarted 39 aggressor attacks in the direction of Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Uspenivka, Yelyzavetivka, Vodiane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Promin, Kotliarivka, Oleksiivka, Dachne and Ulakly.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled one attack by enemy forces in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil.

In the Orikhiv sector, near Kamianske, the invaders made one unsuccessful attack on the positions of our defenders.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi sectors.

In the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks yesterday, while the enemy launched 383 artillery shells, including two from multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 33 air strikes, deploying 43 drones.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively employing artillery and aircraft from the Russian Federation in close proximity to Ukrainian settlements.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian missile troops and artillery hit 18 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, two air defense systems, one EW system, one ammunition depot, four artillery systems, and two command posts.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army’s losses in Ukraine over the past day reached 1,300 troops.
