The Defense Forces have shot down 38 Shahed and other types of attack UAVs that Russians have been using to attack Ukraine since the evening of February 2. Another 25 UAVs have been lost from tracking.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
Starting from 19:00 on Sunday, February 2, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 71 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones launched from the following areas: Russia’s Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, and temporarily occupied Crimea.
Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups repelled that enemy air attack.
As of 09:00 on Monday, February 3, 38 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones have been confirmed downed in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions.
As many as 25 enemy decoy drones disappeared from radar (without negative consequences).
As a result of the enemy attack, there have been reports of damage in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy regions.
