Civilian injured as Russian forces shell border area of Sumy region

A 59-year-old man sustained injuries in the town of Seredyna-Buda, Sumy region, as a result of Russian shelling of civilian infrastructure.

The regional prosecutor’s office wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“On February 3, 2025, at about 11:00, the occupiers from the territory of the Russian Federation shelled the civilian infrastructure of Seredyna-Buda, Shostka district. As a result, a 59-year-old man was injured and hospitalized,” the report says.

It is noted that prosecutors, together with other law enforcement officers, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.

The Shostka District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a pre-trial investigation into the facts of committing war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As Ukrinform reported, Russian invaders shelled the border areas and settlements of the Sumy region 25 times on the night and morning of February 3, 87 explosions were recorded.
