On February 3, the Russian forces carried out 99 shelling attacks on border communities in Sumy region, with a total of 162 explosions recorded.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was stated by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram.
“Throughout the day, the Russians carried out 99 shelling attacks on border territories and settlements in Sumy region. A total of 162 explosions were recorded. The shelled areas included the communities of Khotyn, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velykopysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyno-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod,” the message states.
The Russian forces shelled Krasnopillia community with mortars (11 explosions), used FPV drones (nine explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (13 explosions).
In Velykopysarivka community, explosive devices were dropped from UAVs (10 explosions), and mortar and artillery shelling were recorded (one and seven explosions, respectively), as well as FPV drone strikes (nine explosions).
In Bilopillia community, the Russian forces dropped explosive devices from UAVs (nine explosions) and shelled the area with mortars (14 explosions).
In Nova Sloboda community, the Russians dropped 18 mines.
The Russian forces attacked the Yunakivka community with MLRS (four explosions) and launched a glide bomb (one explosion).
In Seredyno-Buda community, an FPV drone attack was recorded (two explosions), mortar shelling (five explosions), and the dropping of explosive devices from UAVs (17 explosions). As a result of the attack, one civilian was wounded, and an administrative building and a private house were damaged.
In Esman community, the Russian forces launched an FPV drone strike (one explosion), dropped explosive devices from UAVs (seven explosions), and shelled the area with mortars (five explosions).
In Khotyn and Znob-Novhorod communities, the enemy dropped explosive devices from UAVs (2 and 1 explosion, respectively), while in Shalyhyne, eight mines were dropped.
Myropillia community was attacked with glide bombs (four explosions), two private homes and a non-residential building were damaged.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Spokesperson for the Siversk Operational-Tactical Group of Troops Colonel Vadim Mysnyk stated that the Russian forces are intensifying shelling in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, targeting civilian and critical infrastructure.
