Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 1,140 in past day

Russia suffered approximately 844,070 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and February 5, 2025, with 1,140 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine’s defense forces have destroyed 9,947 (+9) Russian tanks, 20,721 (+12) armored fighting vehicles, 22,707 (+52) artillery systems, 1,269 multiple rocket launchers, 1,053 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 3,054 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 369 warplanes, 331 helicopters, 24,102 (+99) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 36,078 (+157) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 3,735 (+2) pieces of special equipment.
