Describing the effect of the Kursk raid, Zelensky noted: “Their troops have become weaker; today we control the situation in Kharkiv region and in some areas of the east within Donetsk region, but things are most difficult in Donetsk region. It is important that we maintain our hold of the situation in Zaporizhzhia region where it has improved.”

As an example, the president cited the situation of the rotations of the IAEA missions on the bridge that gad been previously controlled by the invaders.

“The Russians slowed down the rotations of the IAEA mission because we have advanced. They want to continue the rotation on the same bridge. To this end, our troops would need to retreat. Of course, they will not do that. Because all these steps forward cost us dearly,” Zelensky stressed.

At the same time, he noted that the situation in Donetsk region remains difficult.

“Of course, the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions are the most difficult ones as the enemy has amassed all its forces there. This is where they are still having gains… Our soldiers are trying to do everything possible to undermine that initiative the enemy so far retains precisely in the east. This is the only place where they still have that initiative,” the head of state noted.

He added that the Ukrainian command understands where the Russians “seek to conduct counteroffensive actions, where they amass troops”.

“The main thing is to understand and prepare,” Zelensky said.

As Ukrinform reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, today the enemy ran no active operations in the Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovia axes.
