There have been 80 combat clashes on the front, with 18 enemy attacks repelled in the Pokrovsk sector, and two battles currently ongoing.
This was reported by Ukrinform, citing the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ operational update at 22:00 on February 5, 2025.
“Tbt now, there have been 80 combat clashes along the front lines. The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest today. The enemy launched one missile strike, 48 airstrikes dropping 78 glide bombs, and conducted over 4,400 shelling attacks on our forces’ positions and civilian settlements,” the publication reads.
According to the General Staff, in the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked four times near Kozacha Lopan and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the aggressor attempted to advance seven times throughot the day near the settlements of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman sector, the Russians attacked 11 times in the areas of Novoliubivka, Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Yampolivka, Kolodiazi, and Torske. The Ukrainian forces repelled eight of these attacks while three are still ongoing.
In the Siversk sector, the Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian defenses eight times near Spirne, Siversk, and Verkhniokamianske. All attacks were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky; one clash is still ongoing. The enemy conducted an airstrike on Stupochky using glide bombs.
In the Toretsk sector, the Russian troops launched nine offensives on the Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Shcherbynivka. The enemy aviation struck Kleban-Byk and Katerynivka.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attempted 20 times to breach the Ukrainian defense lines in the Pokrovsk sector near Vodiane, Yelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, Udachne, Nadezhdynka, Promin, Pishchane, Dachne, and Ulakly. The Ukrainian forces repelled 18 of these attacks while two battles are still ongoing. Ulakly was hit by an enemy airstrike.
According to available information, the enemy’s losses in this direction today are 298 killed and wounded, along with 16 destroyed vehicles, a satellite communications system, a trench-based electronic warfare unit, a self-propelled artillery unit, a mortar. Additionally, the Ukrainian defenders damaged two tanks, two units of automotive equipment, a BM-21 Grad rocket launcher, a cannon, and a self-propelled artillery system of the enemy.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil. The enemy carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Komar, Rozlyv, Burlatske, and Bahatyr.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Russians attacked the Ukrainian positions twice with the support of aviation in the area of Novopil, and also carried out airstrikes on Huliaipole, Yehorivka, and Bilohorivka.
In the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy attacks. Additionally, the Russians launched 37 airstrikes, dropping 52 glide bombs, and carried out 371 artillery shelling attacks on the Ukrainian positions and settlements.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske sectors, the Russian forces did not engage in active actions.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that thanks to the Kursk raid, the situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has improved.
