Enemy shells six communities in Sumy region, damaging houses

On the night and morning of February 9, Russian troops fired 10 times at the border area of the Sumy region, damaging houses.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“On the night and morning, Russians fired 10 times at the border area and settlements of the Sumy region. Twelve explosions were recorded. The Sumy, Sad, Yunakivka, Khotin, Bilopillia and Romny communities came under shelling,” the report says.

It is noted that in the Sad community, a country house and the adjacent territory were damaged as a result of a UAV attack. The enemy dropped glide bombs on the Sumy and Khotin communities.

The Yunakivka community was hit by a guided aerial bomb and artillery.

An explosion was recorded in the Bilopillia and Romny communities as a result of an attack by an FPV drone and a UAV. In the latter, two private houses were damaged.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army fired 76 times on the border area and settlements of the Sumy region on February 8, injuring one civilian.
