Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, held a phone conversation to discuss further cooperation, regional and global developments, and the Food from Ukraine program.
According to Ukrinform, Sybiha shared details of the conversation on social media platform X.
“I spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss bilateral relations, further contacts, and opportunities for cooperation. We exchanged views on regional and global developments,” Sybiha stated.
Sybiha added that he informed his counterpart about the Food from Ukraine program aimed at assisting the Syrian people.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that Ukraine’s maritime corridor has transported 100 million tons of cargo to 53 countries in just a year and a half.
The Food from Ukraine initiative is designed to support the Syrian people and prevent a food crisis in Syria. Under this program, Ukraine will supply agricultural products to Syria. The first 500 tons of Ukrainian wheat flour have already been shipped. Ukraine is urging international partners to join the initiative and contribute to stabilizing Syria, which is also a shared effort to protect lives worldwide.
