The quantity and quality of enemy artillery on the eastern front does not allow the occupiers to attack with a “shaft of fire”. The occupiers’ capabilities in this regard have seriously decreased, while the capabilities of the Defense Forces have increased.
According to Ukrinform, this was stated on television by the spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, Viktor Tregubov.
“The striking difference that was at the beginning of the war is no longer there. Back then, the Russians were wiping out entire settlements with an artillery “firewall”. Now it is much more difficult for them to do so. Firstly, because the barrels are worn out, and secondly, the Russians have realized that their ammunition is not unlimited,” Tregubov said.
According to him, the long-range strikes on ammunition depots, which are constantly carried out by the Ukrainian side, should be seriously thanked.
“Therefore, when we see news that something exploded somewhere in Russia, we should understand that everything that exploded there did not reach the front,” the spokesman added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, fighting continues on the outskirts of Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region.
