Republican Congressman Joe Wilson has announced his intention to introduce a lend-lease bill in Congress that will enable the U.S. President to provide weapons to partner countries including Ukraine, as it continues to resist Russian aggression.

The lawmaker shared this information on his official page on the social media platform X on Monday, according to Ukrinform.

“Today, I will introduce the FREEDOM FIRST LEND-LEASE ACT to give President Trump flexible authorities to send war-winning weapons to our partners including Ukraine to deter War Criminal Putin,” the Congressman emphasized.

He noted that this was something President Biden “should have done long ago.”

“Bring Russia to the table through American strength!” the Republican added.
