Ukrainian paratroopers advance in Kursk region, securing new positions

Soldiers of the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade of the Bukovyna Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully conducted offensive operations in one of the areas of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Communications Department of the Airborne Assault Forces Command.

“In close cooperation with the units of the Support, Combat and Logistics Forces, paratroopers of the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully conducted offensive operations in one of the directions of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation,” the statement reads.

According to the paratroopers, “as a result of the rapid and unexpected maneuver, new lines were taken and the tactical position was significantly improved.”

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region and advanced 2.5 km.
