AFU down six Russian Iskander-M missiles, 71 UAVs

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have shot down six Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 71 drones.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in Telegram.

Starting at 19:00 on Tuesday, February 11, the Russians launched Iskander-M ballistic missiles (S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles) at Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih. Six launches were made from the Bryansk region and one from the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The enemy also attacked with 123 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of imitator drones from the directions of: Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.

As of 08:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, six Iskander-M ballistic missiles (S-400) and 71 Shahed-type attack drones (other types of drones) were confirmed downed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

40 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).

Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk (Kryvyi Rih), Sumy, Poltava and Chernihiv regions suffered from the enemy attack.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, one person was killed and four injured, including a child, in the Obolon district of Kyiv as a result of a Russian missile strike on the morning of February 12.
