Germany to deliver about 100 IRIS-T missiles to Ukraine

This was reported on social media X by the German delegation to NATO following the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), according to Ukrinform.

“Future support for Ukraine in the form of materiel and military training was confirmed at today’s UDCG meeting of over 50 nations. Germany will continue to play an important role in this support and announced the delivery of around 100 IRIS-T guided missiles to Ukraine shortly,” the post reads.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Germany has already provided Ukraine with six IRIS-T SLM systems and five IRIS-T SLS systems. These are the latest systems, which Germany began supplying to Kyiv even before they were officially adopted by the Bundeswehr.

The most recent military aid package from Germany was announced on January 14.
