Ukraine’s exports of goods to UAE grow 23.7% in 2024 – Economy Ministry

Exports of goods from Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) increased by 23.7% in 2024.

This was announced by First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko at a meeting with UAE business representatives in Abu Dhabi, Ukrinform reports citing the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy.

“The UAE is an important trading partner of Ukraine: trade turnover grew by 28.6% in 2023 and by a further 9% in 2024. Ukraine’s exports of goods also showed growth, with a 23.7% increase. While we have not yet reached pre-war levels, the dynamics are encouraging. Our economic ties are strengthening, and we see significant potential for deepening cooperation,” Svyrydenko said.

She said that the meeting was attended by representatives of over 20 leading UAE companies, including those specializing in innovative industrial solutions, healthcare, trade, investment, finance and shipping. The Ukrainian side presented projects in the processing, agricultural and mining sectors, as well as privatization proposals in real estate and public-private partnership projects to rebuild hospitals and port infrastructure.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 17, 2025, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates signed a comprehensive economic partnership agreement, which provides for the import of 99% of goods and products from Ukraine without paying customs duties and liberalizing access to the goods markets for both countries.
