Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stated that his country will continue to strongly support Ukraine in the war against Russian invasion.
He said this in his video message on social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.
“Ukrainians have been fighting and dying not just to protect their sovereignty, their territorial integrity. They are also fighting to protect the rules-based order that keeps us all safe around the world and has for close to 80 years now,” he said.
Trudeau noted that this period of peace, stability and prosperity for the world happens because all countries adhere to the rules around borders, and non-invasion of their neighbors, which Russia chose deliberately to violate several years ago.

“That is why Canada and our allies are unequivocal on standing up against Vladimir Putin’s illegal, immoral and unjust violation of the international order,” the Canadian prime minister emphasized.
“And that’s why I’m looking forward to sitting down with my European partners in a couple of hours to talk about how we will continue to stand unequivocally in defense of Ukraine, but also in defense of the rules that keep us all safe,” he added.
As reported by Ukrinform, French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will visit Washington next week as part of efforts to end Russia’s war in Ukraine.
