Austria is ready to host and mediate peace talks to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, if necessary.
This was reported by the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs of Austria in an exclusive comment to Ukrinform’s own correspondent.
“As a country that hosts several international organizations, including the OSCE, Austria has many years of experience in hosting international meetings and facilitating dialogue and is ready to act as a venue and mediator in possible peace talks, if there is such a will,” the ministry said.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Austria maintains the position that there can be no negotiations to end Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine without the participation of Ukraine itself, and peace must be fair and not imposed on Ukrainians.
