
France and Estonia have called for an emergency meeting of European defense ministers on Monday, February 24, to discuss how to bolster military support for Ukraine.
That is according to Bloomberg, citing sources, Ukrinform reports.
According to people familiar with the matter, about a dozen European defense ministers, including those from the UK, Germany, Italy, and Poland, as well as representatives from the EU and NATO, will participate in the meeting via video conference.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine is preparing to host a meeting of partner country leaders in Kyiv on February 24 to discuss peace, security guarantees, and the future of collective defense.
On the same day, the EU Foreign Affairs Council will convene in Brussels, with the war in Ukraine as the first item on the agenda.
